It is the farmers who better understand us when we say that our mission is to produce the best crisps in the world. It is with the specialists of the land that we work to ensure, in a sustainable way, the tubers with better revenue.

We, who have been in this for a long time, know the importance of separating the wheat from the chaff. But we do not rely just on experience. We follow very strict criteria in the selection of potatoes that we integrate in the transformation process. And we are not just talking of the defective. Those that do not have the best appearance, not compromising the consumption, are also excluded. We do eat with our eyes after all.

It is the peeling stage: impurities are extracted and the skins removed. All this using the natural and non-aggressive techniques.

Now naked, the potato is again inspected. It is not likely we will find defective ones at this stage, but in any case.

Here the destination of each potato is decided: Plain, Wavy or Sticks. The automatic cutter ensures levels of thickness indicated for each typology. Nothing is left to chance.

The sticks and potato leaves are then transported for frying. From this moment on, nothing will be as before.

Immersed in the crackling oil, at the right temperature, the potatoes refines the taste and acquires that crunchy texture that takes your fancy, satiates and addicts…Oils are continuously renewed and the levels of moisture and fat content are regulated in real time. It is not a trick, it is know-how.

According to the frying and size specifications, a check is made automatically to the outgoing crisps, with removal of those unwanted by jet.

Not that we are obsessive; we are, instead, methodical. Therefore, upon outgoing the frying, and after the automatic check, the potatoes are subject to further checking, this time, manually.

And while we are checking, it must be said that we proceed in a continuous set of analysis that ensure strict compliance with the quality parameters at every stage of the potato processing.

There is a fundamental thing for those who produce crisps: their own potatoes. Therefore, we monitor continuously the effluent arising from our industrial activities in order to minimize their impact on nature and to ensure that the land continues to give us its best.

We use automatic distribution systems that feed the packers.
Could we do it manually? We could, but it would not be the same…

It is like grandma’s recipe: we sprinkle with salt to taste in a regular and uniform manner, then we select the flavour and flavour them to taste. The finishing touch of the recipe would be: "Serve them on their own or as a side-dish". Yes, we are going to say it too, but first we must pack the potato.

The boxes are properly packed on the pallet to avoid damage during shipping. It is not by relying on luck that we present such a low damage rate.

And because it is better to be safe than sorry, we have designed storage facilities for all events: we have equipped them with dynamic racking systems and we took record of all Picking and Shipping operations on computer. Do you know Murphy’s Law? We do not.

And because we leave absolutely nothing to chance, we maximize shipping through efficient palletizing systems. It is a fact: efficiency does not require great science...
